Protection from MRSA

While at present the conventional wisdom that there is no cure for Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA) still holds true, this does not mean that there would not be any protection from MRSA available.

A recent report on Bay News 9 mentioned an anti-microbial spray-on system that bonds to surfaces offering protection for up to three years; also available as fabric softener featuring protection for up to 30 washes.

Craig Andrews, CEO of Coating Specialists Group explains that “there is a puncture of the cell membrane and within that sword there is a nitrogen atom that electrocutes, to finally, totally eliminate that bacteria.”

This system would be quite helpful for athletes, and equally efficient in saving lives at health care institutions.
