Cave of Romulus and Remus unearthed

According to a recent report on BBC News, a cave believed to be the Lupercal was found near the ruins of Emperor Augustus’ palace on the Palatine hill.

In this context, one might also start wondering about the possible link between the Lupercalia of ancient Rome and nowadays’ Valentine’s Day.
